Longtime southeast Kansas softball head coach Steven Aguilar passed away Thursday due to complications of COVID-19.
On November 25th, he was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He said in a Facebook post that he had problems struggling with breathing and catching his breath.
Five days earlier, he posted that his wife tested positive for COVID-19.
Aguilar was most-known by players as "Coach Kool-Aid". He was most recently the head softball coach at Fredonia High School and has also spent many years coaching the Chanute softball team.
