A student at Independence Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Montgomery County Health Department.

This marks the third positive case this week from USD 446 with two staff members of the Transportation Department testing positive on Monday.

Those who are identified as close contacts have been identified and will not be able to return to school, but they will have access to remote learning. The student who tested positive won't be able to return until the Montgomery County Health Department deems it safe.
