A 24-year old man has been arrested in Chanute on several charges including criminal trespassing.

Chanute PD responded to the area in 400 block of South Highland for a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, officers learned that an individual threw an object at a window, shattering it, gaining entry inside the building.

Officers started gathering information and learned that the business had surveillance cameras set up inside the business. During the investigation, officers were able to gather enough information to arrest John Michael Bixler for burglary, criminal damage to property, and criminal trespassing.

Bixler was transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident.
