A Missouri man was injured in a single-vehicle accident over the weekend in Baxter Springs.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 50-year-old James Kannmore of Webb City was driving a 2001 Mack Truck westbound on U.S. Highway 166 when he left the roadway into the westbound ditch and continued through the ditch until it hit the embankment on West 5th Street and then went airborne over West 5th Street and came to rest in the opposite ditch.

Kannmore was ejected from the vehicle and was transported to Freeman Hospital in Joplin with suspected serious injuries. Seatbelts were not in use in the vehicle.
