The Parsons Police Department has announced that extra patrols will be working overtime during the holiday shopping season.

Both marked police cars and police UTVs will be visible at various businesses around town and in the business district. These mobile and foot patrols with visits to businesses are designed to reduce thefts, car burglaries, and discourage shoplifters. With the pandemic, officers will also be reminding citizens to wear masks as it is the law in Parsons.
