Coffeyville Police Department Investigating Two Shootings

The Coffeyville Police Department is investigating two shootings from Thanksgiving Day. At about 1:30 pm on Thursday, CPD responded to the 400 block of East 6th Street, where a residence had been struck multiple times by gunfire. No one was injured at that time.

A few hours later, just after 4 pm, CPD then received reports of two vehicles chasing each other on Spruce, 1st Street, and North Buckeye exchanging gun fire. One vehicle was described to police as a small, white passenger car, while the other was described as a late-model Ford extended cab truck.

As of Monday, no shooting victims have come forward in either incident. Detectives are currently investigating both incidents and believe they are related. Anyone with information on the shootings is asked to call the Coffeyville Police Department at 620-252-6160. They may also call Detective Vargas at 620-252-6145 or Detective Kastler at 620-252-6145.
