A foot chase followed a home invasion attempt that occurred early Friday morning in Baxter Springs.

A police officer chased the suspect at the area of 22nd and Cherokee around 12:45 a.m. after a neighbor had called the police department about suspicious activity.

The suspect was wearing a ski mask, and bolt cutters were also found at the scene. Another man was arrested who was sitting in his truck who was suspected to be his getaway driver.

They were both arrested on separate charges.
