The Chautauqua County Commission took time out of its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday to canvass the votes in this month's general election. County clerk Niki Collier reported that the county saw a 68 percent turnout of all eligible voters, or 1,676 votes in total.

The county had 29 provisional ballots, of which the commission moved to approve six. The votes were counted, after which the commission moved to accept the canvassed votes and the official result.
