Motorists in Montgomery, Labette, and Chautauqua County are paying more to fill up their tanks than the state average.
According to AAA, Montgomery County sits seven cents higher than the state average at $1.94 a gallon while Labette County is currently at $1.90 a gallon. Chautauqua County clocked in at $1.98 a gallon. The average across the state currently sits at $1.87 a gallon which ranks #8 in the country for the cheapest gas.
Across the border in Oklahoma, the state average is $1.80 which is 2 cents higher than a week ago. Washington County is at $1.72 a gallon while Nowata County came in at $1.68 a gallon.
Nationally, the price of gas has remained relatively level at $2.12.
