The Chautauqua County Health Department is asking residents who suspect they have been in contact with COVID-19 to stay home. The department reported last Friday that there were 10 active cases in the county. Contact tracing on those cases have been started and those who are first person contacts will be or have been notified.

Local schools, including those in Sedan and Cedar Vale, have moved to remote learning in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. Cedar Vale will not hold classes Monday, but will began the remote learning process on Tuesday. Sedan began Zoom classes on Friday, but the elementary school remains in session.
