A student has tested positive for COVID-19 at Independence High School, according to the Montgomery County Health Department.

Areas that the student has used over the past several days have been temporarily closed off to be thoroughly disinfected.

Those listed as close contacts have been notified and they will not be able to return to school for 14 days, however, they will have access to remote learning.
