Remote Success Rates Mixed at USD 446

The USD 446 School Board convened for their monthly meeting Monday with several topics on the table.

One of the topics was concerns with remote learning for the 1st nine weeks as a few of the schools are experiencing a high failure rate. According to a learning data handout that was provided by USD 446, as a whole, the district is seeing a 51% success rate for students using remote learning compared to an 85% success rate for students on-site. The highest rate of students not passing was at the middle school with 66% while Eisenhower is at 44.5%.

USD 446 Superintendent Rusty Arnold said due to the high failing numbers, a new policy will be introduced.

Arnold said that a letter is being sent out to parents concerning this change. The USD 446 School Board will meet again on December 14th.
