During Independence's annual celebration of Neewollah, Queen Neelah the 79th was crowned Tuesday night.

Makayla Ross represents Coffeyville, attends Field Kinley High School and is on the dance team.

Neewollah festivities continue throughout the rest of the week including Movie Night at the Park on Friday with a showing of Monster House at the Riverside Park Oval. The movie will begin at 7 p.m. but you are encouraged to arrive early for a good spot along with some lawn chairs or a blanket.
