Scattered power outages have been reported across the area today due to ice on power lines and tree limbs.  As of mid-afternoon today over 150 Evergy customers were without power in Independence, Dearing, Caney, Tyro, Cherryvale, and Parsons.  Crews are on the scene working to restore power to all customers.

Statewide over 1,000 Evergy customers were affected by outages.
