Panel Discussion on Racial Inequities Planned

The Black Student Association at Pittsburg State University will host a panel discussion, “A Story on Repeat,” at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts at 6 p.m. on Nov. 2. There will be both limited seating for in-person viewing and a live-stream for remote viewing.  

 

The discussion will focus on racial tension and racial inequities in the U.S., with the goal of fostering a better understanding of marginalized groups. 

 

The panelists include: 

  • D'Andre Phillips, president of the Black Student Association 
  • Jamie Wood, professor of psychology and counseling 
  • Quentin Turner, a patrol officer for the Pittsburg Police Department  
  • Lamour Romine, a detective for the Pittsburg Police Department 
  • Jared Bush, secretary of the Gamma Chi Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. 

 

The discussion will be live-streamed on Facebook.com/bicknellcenter and pittstate.tv. It will be archived at pittstate.tv for viewing later.
