A student at Independence High School has tested positive for COVID-19, along with a student and a teacher at Jefferson Middle School, according to the Montgomery Health Department.

Per the school district's protocol, areas those individuals have used are temporarily closed to be thoroughly disinfected.

Those identified as close contacts have been notified, and they, along with those who tested positive, will not be allowed to return to school for 14 days.
