The Kansas Department of Transportation plans on to begin a resurfacing project Wednesday on K-102 in Cherokee County.
An asphalt overlay will be placed on the entire five miles of K-102 between West Mineral and K-7. Flaggers and a pilot car will direct one-lane traffic through the project area during daylight hours; expect delays of 15 minutes or less. The resurfacing work should be completed in two weeks, weather permitting.
KDOT awarded the $310,147 construction contract to Heckert Construction of Pittsburg.
