According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, there have been six percent more deaths on Kansas roadways so far this year when compared to the same time last year.

There have been 331 deaths in the recent data study going back to New Years Day and leading up to October 7th.

The preliminary data was gathered on October 12th from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
