The city of Miami in Oklahoma announced Tuesday that Bo Reese has been named the new city manager.

Reese has 29 years of experience working in government management in the state of Oklahoma. The Miami native retired at his position of Chief Technology Officer at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. He held the title of State Chief Information Officer for six years starting in 2014. In years prior, he had been Chief Operations Officer and Deputy Administrator of the Employees Group Insurance Division from 2010-13. He was the CIO of EGID from 2004-10, and EGID's Director of Technology from 2000-04.

Reese will begin his new position starting on January 1st, 2021. Tyler Cline will remain his interim city manager duties until then.
