Students and staff at Garfield Elementary School in Parsons have gone into quarantine after receiving a notice of a positive case of COVID-19.
Students have received computer equipment so that they may continue to learn from home. The students and staff member will not be allowed to return to school for 14 days and are asked to take a COVID-19 test if they develop symptoms.
Students and staff may return to school after the 14-day quarantine if they don't exhibit any symptoms during that time and are released by the Labette County Health Department.
