Labette Extends Disaster Declaration into 2021

The Labette County Commission extended the County Disaster Declaration at their most recent meeting. This is the fourth time the commissioners have extended the declaration. The commissioners voted to extend the disaster declaration for sixty days which extends it into 2021. Emergency Management Director Charlie Morse says the reason they extended the disaster declaration is they can be eligible for state aid.

In other business, the commissioners received an update from Parsons Economic Development Director Jim Zaleski regarding SPARK. Applications for SPARK are still open.
