The Bryant Student Health Center at Pittsburg State University reported that the number of positive COVID-19 cases involving students continues to decline.

COVID-19 Case Manager Taylor Panczer says currently, five students are in active isolation, down from 12 last week, and the number of those quarantined also fell for the fourth straight week to about 100 students In the seven days leading up to the end of September 33 individuals were tested. Of those, three tested positive and two are awaiting results. This points to a reduction in the percent positive rate among the student population. Among faculty and staff, one new case was reported in the most recent seven-day period.
