A staff member at Eisenhower Elementary in Independence has tested positive for COVID-19.

Independence Public Schools was notified on Saturday about the positive test. The school has temporarily closed off areas of the building the individual used in the past several days to thoroughly clean and disinfect the spaces. The individual who tested positive for COVID-19 and close contacts of the individual will not be allowed to return to school for at least 14 days from the date of exposure. They will have access to Remote Learning.
