Two people were injured following a collision just north of the Montgomery/Wilson County border Wednesday.
Crash logs from the Kansas Highway Patrol report the crash occured shortly before 5:30 pm. A 2011 Ford Focus driven by 65-year-old Daniel K. Wiziarde of Indpendence was westbound on County Road 6600 when it failed to stop at a stop sign. Wiziarde's vehicle was struck by a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 35-year-old Leland Jackson Burns II. Burns was traveling northbound on U75 at the time of the accident.
Both men were taken to a hospital with suspected serious injuries. Safety restraints were in use by both drivers.
