The United States Department of Justice has awarded the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office nearly $150,000 federal funding.

The funds will be used towards maintaining compliance with the Sex Offender Registration Notification Act through technology, collaboration, enforcement operations and training.

This grant will also cover the costs associated with increased investigative training and offender compliance operations over the next three years.
