Two Pittsburg Men Arrested on Drug and Burglary Charges

 

A pair of men were arrested in Parsons accused of burglarizing a storage unit.

 

Parsons Police were called to report a burglary in progress at 1425 North 16th Street. Arriving Officers found two males in the process of burglarizing the storage facility. Both subjects were detained by Officers. After an investigation, it was confirmed that the two suspects had burglarized a storage unit and were in the process of stealing property. The victim was contacted by police and confirmed that the suspects had her property from the burglary.

 

38-year-old Jason Rakestraw and 41-year-old Thomas Houdashelt, both of Pittsburg were arrested and booked into jail. A search warrant was obtained for the suspect's vehicle which resulted in the return of the victim's property. The search also located controlled substances, narcotics paraphernalia, and burglary tools all belonging to the two suspects.

 

The two suspects are being held for burglary, possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft, and criminal damage.
