A suspect has been arrested after a shooting in a Parsons neighborhood.

Parsons Police responded to the shooting in the area of 27th near Grand Avenue. Officers found a vehicle with multiple gunshots in it and questioned the driver. The on-going investigation revealed that the victim was driving away from the area the gunman began rapidly firing at the victim and his vehicle. The victim was not struck. After canvassing the area, Officers were able to potentially identify the suspect as a 16-year-old juvenile male.

The suspect is currently in custody at the Girard Juvenile Detention Center on one count of Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Criminal Use of a Weapon, Shooting a Firearm at an Occupied Vehicle, and Shooting a Firearm at an Unoccupied Dwelling.
