KDHE Guidance for Celebrating Halloween

Halloween is a little over a month away, and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment has created a guide to make sure you and your family celebrate the holiday.

The KDHE recommends events such as car parades, drive-in movies, and dressing up your house or yard. All of which have a considerably low risk of spreading the virus.

KDHE recommends not trick or treating this year due to it being very difficult to maintain proper social distancing and it not being very safe to be sharing food.

However, if you are going to trick or treat, KDHE recommends you take certain safety precautions such as social distancing, wearing a face covering, having hand sanitizer at the ready, and disinfecting the wrappers of your candy after completing your trick or treat route.
