General Election Information for Montgomery County

 

Election Day is almost upon us, and as always, there are multiple options on how to vote in the 2020 general election. The Montgomery County Clerk's Office released the following information on how to cast your ballot this November.

 

 

Montgomery County Voting Options in the 2020 Election

 

Early Voting: October 14 - November 2, 2020 at 12:00 noon.

 

Voter Registration Deadline: Last day to register to vote for the General Election. October 13, 2020

 

Absentee Voting:

The terms: Early Voting, Advance Ballot, Mail-in Ballot, Vote-by-Mail and Absentee Ballot are interchangeable. Ballots must be requested by October 27, 2020 to receive a ballot by mail. Voters can cast absentee ballots for any reason.

 

Absentee Choices: *Instead of requesting an absentee ballot, voters may vote early, in person, at on-site voting booths at the County Clerk office at the Montgomery County Courthouse, 217 East Myrtle, by 12:00 noon on November 2, 2020.

 

*If you are mailing an Absentee Ballot, it must be postmarked on or before Election Day (November 3,2020). Postage is $1.20. (If you are mailing in your ballot, do so as soon as possible).*

 

Absentee ballots may be hand-delivered to the County Clerk office until 7:00 pm on November 3, 2020. *Absentee ballots may be placed in the drop off box located on the south side of the Judicial Building (monitored by security cameras) until 7:00 pm on November 3, 2020.*

 

Absentee ballots may be taken to any Montgomery County polling place on November 3, 2020 by close of polls. Absentee ballots must be signed and sealed in the official envelope that the County Clerk office provided.

 

Election Day In-Person Voting: November 3, 2020 between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm at Montgomery County polling sites.
