Caney Police Chief Kevin Kitterman has announced that Sgt. Natalie Rees has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Police Chief.

Rees served in the United States Army and did two tours in Iraq, her first one was from 2006 until 2007 and the other in 2009 until 2010.

She began her law enforcement career with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department in 2011 and served with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department until 2014. Rees joined the Caney Police Department in 2016 and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2018.

With the promotion, Assistant Chief Rees will be more involved with the day to day operations of the Caney Police Department.
