The Caney Valley Historical Society and Museum is holding another planning event to help prepare for Caney's 150th birthday next year. Everyone is welcome to attend as they discuss plans and fundraising ideas for the event, which is currently scheduled for May 2021.

The meeting will be held September 29th at 6:30 pm at the Sandstone Event Center in Caney. Suggestions can be emailed to Caney2021party@gmail.com.

The city of Caney was founded in 1871, and will hold its sesquincentennial celebration next year.
