U.S. 400 Resurfacing Project to Begin

The Kansas Department of Transportation begins resurfacing construction on the U.S. 400 highway east of Parsons today.

The sections that are being resurfaced include about 900 feet east of Trego Road and continuing east for about 1,300 feet, as well as about 1,000 feet east of Victory Road and continuing east for 2.8 miles to York Road.

The project includes a mill and overlay on the driving lanes and placing a chip seal on the shoulders.

Flaggers and a pilot car will direct one-lane traffic through the project area during daylight hours; expect delays of 15 minutes or less. The resurfacing work should be completed in two weeks, weather permitting.
