A 35-year-old man was has been arrested in Chanute on a variety of charges including drug possession.

Chanute Police were dispatched late Wednesday to the intersection of Oak and Plummer for a report of a vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the individuals involved in the accident. During the investigation, officers arrested Jacob Andrew Bancroft of Chanute for Driving while suspended, Illegally displayed tag, driving without a valid license, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bancroft was transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident. The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
