A victim of a drowning at the Montgomery County State Fishing Lake on Wednesday evening is identified as 18-year-old, Khalil Fulton, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department. Fulton was a freshman at Independence Community College and was a defensive end for the football team.

Witnesses say Fulton resurfaced after going into the water and went back under once again and never resurfaced a second time. There was no indication Fulton was in distress. In the early morning hours Fulton was located, not far from the area where he entered the water. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Foul play is not suspected, but the investigation is ongoing.
