Text messages looking for its receiver to confirm the delivery of a "pending package" are nothing more than scams looking to steal personal info.

Those who receive the text messages are told that they have a package pending from several months ago, and are asked to claim ownership so they can have it delivered to them. Clicking on the link provided in the message will then take the user to a page where they enter their credit card information, giving up their personal info and allowing the scammers to steal their identity.

The best way to avoid this scam is to simply delete the received message without opening it or clicking on the link inside. If you've already fallen victim to this scam, watch for suspicious charges on the credit card you provided information for.
