A candidate for the United States Senate will be making a visit to Montgomery County later this week.

Representative Roger Marshall, who currently serves as a U.S. Representative for Kansas's 1st District, will be holding a meet-and-greet at Ane Mae's Coffee Shop in Independence this Friday from 1 to 1:30 p.m.

Marshall will also visit KGGF earlier that day for an interview that will be aired on 690 AM. Marshall is running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by the retiring Pat Roberts. His opponent in November's general election is Democrat Barbara Bollier, who easily secured her nomination in the Democratic primary last month.
