The Caney Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance late Monday night. At around 9:00pm officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of South State St. Upon officers' arrival, they discovered that a female had suffered injuries during the domestic disturbance. Caney EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital.

As a result of the incident, officers arrested 60 year old Jimmy Bowden, who was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he was booked for aggravated domestic battery.
