A routine traffic stop turns into a drug arrest in Caney this weekend. This weekend a Caney Officer made a traffic stop, at 6th and Foreman, on a vehicle displaying illegal tags. The driver, 39 year old William Purcell of Bartlesville, was also driving on a suspended license.

The vehicle was searched and drug paraphernalia, marijuana and methamphetamine were found. Purcell was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with operating a vehicle without registration, driving while suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.
