The Chautauqua County Commission voted to donate another $500 to the Elgin Jamboree at its weekly meeting Monday. This marks the third straight year that the commission has donated to the jamboree. Event organizer Mike Travelletti said these funds are carefully managed and go to the town's needs.

This year's Elgin Jamboree will be held on September 26th from 10 a.m. to midnight. Food and drink will be available, and there will also be space for lawn chairs, blankets and tents. All proceeds for the event will benefit the town of Elgin.
