There could be severe weather moving into southeast Kansas starting this afternoon. The National Weather Service in Witchita is following a cold front that is expected to move south over the area today.
If that front stalls, severe storm chances will increase for much of the Flint Hills and southeast Kansas this afternoon. However, if the front continues through, that severe storm chance will be limited to areas alongside the Kansas/Oklahoma border. Severe storms that might develop under this front are expected to include golf ball size hail and gusty winds of up to 65 mph.
As always, in case of severe weather, make sure to tune into 690 AM, KGGF for wall-to-wall coverage.
