On Monday, an Officer with the Caney Police Department made a traffic stop in the 700 block of State St. in Caney.

The officer stopped the violator for driving while suspended. She was arrested for driving while suspended and controlled substances were found in her purse.

The female was identified as 39-year-old Kristen Hines. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Upon being booked into the jail, during a search of her person jail personnel found more controlled substances on her person.

Hines will face charges of driving while suspended, possession of controlled substance and trafficking contraband into a penal institution.
