A five-year-old died after drowning at Parsons Lake Beach over the weekend.

Parsons Police Officers were dispatched to the beach of the Parsons Lake for a possible juvenile drowning. CPR was performed on the victim until Labette Health EMS arrived at the scene and transported the juvenile to Labette Health Emergency Department. Despite the lifesaving efforts of all involved, the juvenile, Mason Weber, was later pronounced deceased at Labette Health. 

Investigators were called to assist first responders with gathering witness information and evidence at the scene but it is believed that the drowning was accidental.
