Two Injured in Chautauqua County Crash

Two women were injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. 166 and K-99 in Chautauqua County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2016 Ford Fiesta driven by 48-year-old Jason Gary Hall of Jennings Oklahoma was southbound on K-99 at the stop sign while a 2014 Ford Cruze, driven by 35-year-old Traci Marie Koebel of Waterville, was westbound on U.S. 166.

Hall failed to yield to Koebel and entered the intersection and was struck by Koebel's vehicle. Koebel and her passenger, 42-year old Cheryl Lyn Farley of Maryville, were both transported to Sedan City Hospital with serious and minor injuries, respectively. Hall had no apparent injuries.
