KDWPT to Discuss Coyote Hunting Rule

According to the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism, hunters in Kansas are allowed to hunt coyotes year-round without the assistance of lights, but a new proposal will be voted on in a virtual commission meeting on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to allow the use of lights, night vision, and thermal imaging to hunt coyotes.

Members of the public will have opportunities to comment on the proposal as well as other non-agenda topics throughout the meeting.

The public is encouraged to participate in the meeting, which begins at 1:30 p.m., recesses at 5 p.m., and reconvenes at 6:30 p.m. for a public hearing.

You can join the meeting via Zoom, call in at 1-877-853-5257, or watch the live stream of the meeting at ksoutdoors.com/commission-meeting. The link to the Zoom call is https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJItcO6uqTwtHdZHP2WeX4TDdA8_RkwiFyR8.
