Halfway through the month of August, there are currently 32 active cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County and 44 active cases in Labette County. There were four new cases reported over the weekend in Montgomery County and Emergency Management Director Rick Whitson says all four of the new cases come from the same address.

Last week the county saw 20 people recover from the Coronavirus. In Labette County, they had two new cases of COVID-19 reported over the weekend and saw four people recover from the virus from Friday to Monday. Statewide, the Kansas Department of Health reports that there were 1,282 new cases and three new deaths over the weekend.
