A 23-year-old Chanute woman has been arrested and charged with multiple drug offenses.

 

Chanute police recently went out to a couple of bicyclists in the area of Third and Forest. After speaking with the individuals, it was learned that one of them had several warrants for their arrests out of another jurisdiction. Officers placed Madison Witchley under arrest for the warrants.

 

Officers located a metal locked box and obtained a search warrant to check its contents. During the search, officers located several items associated with illegal drugs. The charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and interference with a law enforcement officer were added to her arrest charges.

 

She was transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident.
