The Independence City Commission is holding a public hearing before potentially approving the 2021 Budget at its regular meeting tonight.
If approved, the 2021 Budget would allow for the expenditure of the city's budgeted funds, which totals just over $22 million. Areas included by the budget include the library, tourism, sanitation and more.
It'll be a busy day for the commission, with several other items and considerations to cover. Tonight's meeting will be held at 5:30 at the Veterans Room of Memorial Hall. You can find the full agenda here.
