Only two new cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County from Wednesday to Friday as the first full week of August came to an end. According to the Montgomery County Health Department, there was another week of high recovery numbers as 27 people recovered from the Coronavirus from July 31st to August 7th. There are currently 28 active cases in the county, which is down from 53, and since March there have been a total of 166 cases.
In Labette County, they say 8 new cases from Wednesday to Friday and 5 recoveries in the same amount of time. Currently, there are 20 active cases in Labette County and since March there has been 126. Statewide there were 921 new cases and 12 new deaths from Wednesday to Friday.
