Labette County Releases Reopening Plan

 

Labette County USD 506 have released their plan for the 2020-2021 school year.

 

For grades K-8, the first option for students will be in-person instruction which includes two days per month of remote distance learning on Wednesdays. The use of face coverings and social distancing will be expected. The second option will be remote learning. Online daily attendance will be mandatory during school hours and the district will issue laptops.

 

For grades 9-12, the two options for K-8 will be available but a third option called the Hybrid Flex will require the student to attend school on Tuesday and Thursday with remote days on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Students will be allowed to participate in athletics and extracurricular activities.

 

The first day of school for grades K-9 will be on August 27th while everybody else starts on August 28th. Start time will be at 8:30 am at all sites.
