The Chanute School Board held a special session on Monday night and announced that it will delay the return to school to August 24th. The measure was unanimously passed by a 6-0 vote.

 

Parents of Pre- Kindergarten — 5^th grade students will decide between online learning or face-to-face learning. Parents of 6^th — 12^th grade students will decide from face-to-face learning, online learning or a self paced/self directed course.

 

Parents and students will need to decide what their preferred option is and it will last through the end of 1^st quarter of the school year. If a student/parent decides to not to attend school or attend face-to-face classes they will not be allowed to participate in school athletics and/or activities.

 

Online enrollment for is currently open and school offices will reopen on August 3^rd for those who want to use a school computer to enroll.
